The Gales Project is a master planned community which covers 200 hectares of landholdings in Kingscliff, Chinderah, and Cudgen. With 100 hectares of prime land planned to be developed into residential, mixed use, eco-tourism, community facilities, school, roads and a business and knowledge precinct, the remaining 100 hectares are planned to be developed into open space comprised of beautiful parks, ecological conservation areas and a lake.

Mortons – Urban Solutions were originally engaged by the client, Gales Holdings Pty Ltd, to undertake a review of the essential services required to support the master planned community.

  • Negotiated with the Tweed Shire Council to review infrastructure and determine the existing capacities of the networks.
  • Sewer & Water Network Strategic Plans and estimate of augmentations required to supply the various Precincts under the 2036 horizon and long-term horizon.
  • Mortons – Urban Solutions have provided preliminary engineering for the upgrade of Turnock Street and the intersection with Tweed Coast Road in coordination with Gales Holdings Pty Ltd and Tweed Shire Council, including input into the intersections for the 4-laning of Tweed Coast Road for the frontage of the site.
  • Mortons – Urban Solutions have provided detailed Change to Ground Level engineering for future open space and residential development pads and obtained construction certificates from Tweed Shire Council.
